Welcome to our School
'Learning Together, Growing Together, Succeeding Together'
I am delighted to welcome you to our website and I hope you are able to find all the details you need about our school. You will be able to read our key policies that underpin our practice as well as access the ‘need to know’ information.
Our curriculum is planned to ensure your child is enjoying their learning through a range of different subjects and outside of the classroom opportunities. The children are provided with crucial knowledge so that they have a firm foundation to build on. Reading is at the heart of all our planning so that children are inspired to further their own reading and build their vocabulary to help stimulate their writing.
We want to inspire each child to know and experience the world beyond their doorstep and also be equipped with the basic and necessary skills to cope with day-to-day life.
We want the children to be proud of who they are, where they come from and how they fit into society.
We want parents to embark on the journey alongside their children and support positive behaviour, learning at home and good attendance.
Your children are encouraged to work hard and be their best in and out of school and we are determined to improve learning outcomes for all of our children.
Our conversion to an academy with ‘The Collective Vision Trust’ has only served to strengthen links within the community. Together, we have a passion for making a difference and improving outcomes and achievement for every child.
I am proud to be Headteacher at Chesterton Primary and the staff team and I work together to continue to raise standards. We would love you to join us on our journey!
We hope you enjoy looking at our website.
If you require any further information or if you wish to see the school in action, please feel free to make an appointment with the office. We encourage parents and children into the school to see our modern learning environment and to see the work we are developing. What we can’t get across in words on a website is the welcoming and positive vibe that we have in school – you’re welcome to step in!
