Art and Design
Intent
Art and Design is a creative subject allowing self-expression, which supports children’s emotional and motor development. Pupils are
given the opportunity to explore and understand works of art and think critically about them. They experience art and design from
around the world, historical and cultural genres as well as representing artists from the UK. Children are encouraged to experiment,
invent and create their own works of art, craft and design.
